Job Summary:
Join our bustling distribution center in Washington, D.C. as a Warehouse Associate! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to support our daily warehouse operations. This role is fundamental to our logistics chain, ensuring that products are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently. As a Warehouse Associate, you will engage in a variety of tasks, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse. We value individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to working safely. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain high operational standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory, verifying quantities and identifying any discrepancies or damages.
  • Store merchandise in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization for efficient access.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and identify stock discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure personal and team safety.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.
  • Follow all established safety procedures, including those related to lifting, equipment operation, and hazard awareness.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that involve frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding and adherence to all safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential safety hazards in the logistics environment.
