This role requires physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience with forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is a strong plus, but not always required for all handler roles. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and supporting other warehouse functions. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Move materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or other warehouse operations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and locations.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving functions as needed.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse worker, or in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the necessity of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
