Our busy logistics facility in Houston, Texas is looking for certified and experienced Forklift Operators to join our dedicated team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and staging products for shipment. You must possess a valid forklift certification and have a proven track record of safe operation. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is essential. This role requires you to be observant, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with various types of forklifts, such as sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, is highly desirable. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. We emphasize a culture of safety and continuous improvement in all our logistics processes. Your ability to handle equipment with care and precision will be critical to preventing damage and ensuring operational efficiency. This is a key role in our supply chain, demanding reliability and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas.
- Stack and stage goods according to warehouse layout.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with logistics and material handling equipment.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
