Join our vibrant warehouse team in Portland, Oregon, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for dedicated individuals to play a crucial role in our logistics operations. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and then meticulously preparing them for shipment. Your efficiency and precision directly contribute to our ability to meet delivery timelines and maintain high customer satisfaction. You will work with modern warehouse technology, including RF scanners, in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on Safety and teamwork is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using pick lists or digital scanners.
- Verify order details, product codes, and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items carefully and securely, selecting appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks for material movement.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Strictly follow all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Report any stock discrepancies or issues to the shift supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and achieve productivity targets.
- Understand and apply principles of effective logistics and warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to upholding workplace Safety standards.
