Join our growing team as a Warehouse Worker in Richmond, Virginia! We are looking for dedicated individuals to support our warehouse operations and contribute to our overall logistics efficiency. This position involves a variety of tasks including loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, reliable, and have a good understanding of warehouse procedures. You must be comfortable with manual labor, including lifting objects, and be committed to following all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is an excellent entry-level opportunity in the logistics field.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in designated areas.
- Assist with picking and packing orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Operate manual equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding warehouse tasks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Perform frequent tasks involving lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE throughout the workday.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manual labor role is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Capacity for lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and using PPE.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
