Join our team in Nashville, Tennessee as a Receiving Clerk and be a critical part of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient unloading of incoming shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and processing them into our inventory system. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure that all incoming products are accounted for and stored correctly. Strong candidates will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handle physical tasks including lifting, and adhere to all safety regulations. The proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks in a safe and timely manner.
- Inspect all incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and document any issues.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Enter receiving data accurately into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage goods for put-away or other warehouse processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform tasks that require regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Utilize and maintain required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and warehouse management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
