Become an Order Picker at our bustling Orlando, Florida facility! We are seeking individuals who are precise, efficient, and safety-conscious to join our warehouse team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately gathering items for customer orders, ensuring that each shipment is correct and meets our high standards. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a proactive approach are highly valued. Your dedication to accuracy and safety is key to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve correct items and quantities from warehouse shelving.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment activities.
- Ensure correct use of required PPE, including safety shoes and vests, at all times.
- Be prepared for lifting and moving items of various sizes and weights, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics process.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to management promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required.
