We are seeking a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our bustling warehouse in Washington, D.C. In this pivotal role, you will manage the efficient flow of goods in and out of our facility, forming a critical link in our logistics chain. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation, stocking inventory accurately, and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch. A meticulous approach and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining precision in all tasks. We are deeply committed to workplace Safety, and all associates must strictly adhere to established protocols and wear the mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves regular Lifting of packages and materials, and the ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced setting is key. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming freight for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Sort and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Assemble, pack, and label outgoing shipments accurately.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, orderly, and safe.
- Follow all company Safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE at all times.
- Coordinate with transportation providers for inbound and outbound logistics.
