We’re looking for a high-energy, self-motivated Purchasing and Sales Operations Manager to help us grow, drive margins, efficiency and customer satisfaction through competitive sourcing across technology and connectivity, and shape strategy as part of the Management Team. What you’ll be doing Client service & delivery: Oversee day-to-day management of client requests, including quoting, ordering, and fulfilment; ensure all requests (client and internal) are actioned within agreed timescales; maintain consistently high service levels with the goal of achieving 100% CSAT feedback; minimise returns, refunds, and delivery errors through proactive quality management.
Commercial accountability: Own commercial performance, ensuring maximum profitability on each transaction while remaining competitive in the market; deliver agreed monthly and annual revenue and margin targets through effective forecasting, pricing strategy and strong commercial discipline; proactively identify and implement strategies to increase client engagement, wallet share and lifetime value across hardware, software, subscriptions and services; work closely with Technical Account Managers, Service Desk and Projects teams to identify, shape and convert subscription and transactional sales opportunities; use customer and supplier data to identify growth opportunities, optimise commercial outcomes and support informed strategic decision making.
Operational excellence: Own and manage procurement and quoting systems (ConnectWise Procurement Module, ConnectWise CPQ, Sage 50 integrations, and related connectors); develop, document, and maintain Source & Supply processes, ensuring consistency and scalability; provide training and guidance to the Source & Supply team to ensure best practices and compliance.
Leadership & collaboration: Lead, coach, and develop the Source & Supply team, fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence; contribute to business strategy and decision-making as an active member of the management team; identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, profitability, and client experience.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Client Satisfaction: Maintain 100% CSAT or agreed target.
Financial Targets: Achieve monthly and annual revenue and profit targets.
Operational Efficiency: Reduction in returns/refunds; timely responses to all requests.
Process & Compliance: Up-to-date documentation, effective use of ConnectWise and Sage systems.
Team Performance: High engagement, development, and delivery against goals.
What you’ll bring to the table Skills & experience: Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in IT sourcing and procurement, supported by a highly analytical and data-driven approach.
Commercial awareness: Outcome-focused with strong negotiation and supplier management skills to drive value, margin and risk mitigation.
Communication: Persuasive and confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders and partners at all levels.
Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, licensing, subscription and connectivity models.
Systems experience: Hands-on experience with procurement and quoting systems such as ConnectWise Procurement and CPQ, and Sage 50 or equivalent.
Leadership: Proven people leader with the ability to coach, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
Operations mindset: Process-oriented and detail-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset and a drive for operational excellence.
Collaboration: Strong collaborator, able to work effectively across technical, commercial and management teams.
The nitty gritty details Base Salary: £45,000 – £55,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Flexible hybrid working, 26 days holiday, strong culture of growth & innovation.
Working hours: 9:00 – 5:30, Monday to Friday; may require flexibility for events.
