EMC Test Engineer – Military & Aerospace

Base Salary:
Up to $120,000 DOE | Premium Healthcare

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled
EMC Test Engineer
with a strong focus on
military and aerospace applications
. In this role, you will evaluate mission-critical systems and components for
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
in accordance with rigorous defense and aerospace standards. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to conduct EMC testing, analyze performance under demanding conditions, and ensure full compliance with
MIL-STD, RTCA/DO
, and other applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform EMC testing, including
  emissions (EMI)
  and
  immunity (EMS)
  assessments, on military and aerospace platforms and subsystems.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans to
  MIL-STD-461/462
  ,
  RTCA/DO-160
  , and other relevant international and defense standards.
• Analyze test data, identify non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions to meet stringent compliance requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive test reports and documentation for clients, certification authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and compliance teams to support product development and mission readiness.
• Maintain, calibrate, and operate specialized EMC test equipment and facilities to ensure precision and reliability.
• Stay up to date with evolving
  military, aerospace, and defense EMC standards
  and testing methodologies.

Qualifications:

Experienced Candidates:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in EMC testing for
  military and/or aerospace systems
  .
• Proficiency in
  MIL-STD-461/462
  ,
  RTCA/DO-160
  , and relevant IEC/EN standards.
• Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, receivers, LISNs, antennas, and immunity test setups.
