Position Description:

deciBel Research seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to perform System Reliability & Maintainability (RAM&T) Engineering Analysis. The candidate will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem RAM&T performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts to ensure that RAM&T program requirements are achieved. The primary responsibility of the position will be reliability, maintainability, and testability. The selected candidate will liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the RAM&T of assigned subsystem. The individual will support the product teams in the investigation of RAM&T issues and develop mitigation plans.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field from an accredited university with five years' experience, or a Masters degree and three years' experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-years' experience in Reliability and Maintainability discipline
  • Experience with Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis
  • Experience with SW reliability analysis
  • Experience with the development and verification of RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) requirements
  • Experience on a large-scale missile defense system like GMD

Special Skills Desired:

  • Five years of experience within Reliability and Maintainability discipline
  • Experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS)
  • Experience with and Ability Perform Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis
  • GWS experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
  • Capable of working both independently and within a team environment

Applicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
