The Clinical Director is responsible for the clinical leadership, oversight, and integrity of all therapeutic services delivered across Transformation Healthcare Inc. (THI). This role ensures that all clinical services are evidence-based, compliant, ethical, and outcomes-driven, while supporting staff development, supervision, and clinical excellence across all programs and locations.
The Clinical Director works collaboratively with the Medical Director and Program Director to ensure clinical quality aligns with operational execution, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Clinical Leadership & Oversight
- Provide clinical leadership and direction for all THI programs across Baltimore and Columbia locations.
• Establish and enforce clinical standards, treatment protocols, and ethical practices.
• Ensure services are trauma-informed, person-centered, culturally competent, and aligned with best practices.
- Support clinical decision-making related to complex cases, risk management, and crisis intervention.
Clinical Supervision & Staff Development
- Provide clinical supervision in accordance with licensing board requirements, CARF standards, and THI policies.
- Facilitate and/or oversee individual and group clinical supervision for licensed and pre-licensed staff and interns.

- Ensure clinical supervision is properly documented and maintained.
• Identify training needs and support professional growth and clinical competency development.
• Maintain a caseload.
Documentation, Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the EMR, including: o Biopsychosocial assessments
o Psychiatric evaluations
o ASAMs
o Treatment plans
o Progress notes
o Discharge summaries
o Aftercare plans
- Conduct regular clinical chart reviews and audits.
• Address documentation deficiencies through coaching, training, or corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with CARF, BHA, licensing boards, Medicaid, and payer standards.
Admissions, Utilization & Discharge Collaboration
- Collaborate with Admissions, Program Director, and Medical Director on:
o Intake assessments
o Level-of-care determinations
o Appropriateness of referrals
- Participate in utilization review activities as required.
- Provide clinical oversight of discharge planning and continuity of care.
Program Development & Clinical Models
- Participate in the development, implementation, and refinement of clinical service delivery models.
- Support the integration of clinical services across programs, including Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) coordination with primary care and other medical providers.
- Ensure clinical curricula and therapeutic interventions are evidence-based and outcome-focused. Collaboration & Leadership Support
• Work collaboratively with the Program Director to address clinical-operational alignment issues.
• Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
- Serve as a clinical resource to executives, supervisors, and staff.
- Support incident review, risk management, and corrective action planning when needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related clinical field (required)
