Job Summary:

BFG Manufacturing Services is seeking a Machine Repair/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing both repair and preventative maintenance on all machinery and supporting equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with our production team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and supporting equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

  • Preventative Maintenance:

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment to minimize breakdowns and maximize operational efficiency.

  • Safety Checks:

Conduct safety inspections of all equipment to ensure compliance with safety protocols and identify any potential hazards.

  • Work Documentation:

Accurately log all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent, for accurate record-keeping and future reference.

  • Team Collaboration:

Work closely with production workers and other team members to identify and resolve maintenance issues and ensure minimal disruption to operations.

  • Additional Duties:

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to assist in the overall success of operations.

Job Requirements:

  • Physical Ability: Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces as required by equipment maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical systems, electric motors, plumbing, pumps, and related machinery components.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills with manual dexterity to handle small parts and equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to log work and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with production teams and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in mechanical or electrical systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience in machine repair or maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
