PRODUCTION WORKER

(2ND SHIFT)

SHORT DESCRIPTION

The production worker's role is responsible for assisting in any position that management assigns them to. This could vary between working on the packing portion of the production lines or working in the fulfillment area of the plant, preparing customers' orders for shipping. The individual(s) in this role will also be responsible for aiding other departments in completing tasks as requested by the management team, such as Sanitation, Quality, and Warehouse, in completing tasks, while always pursuing individual, professional growth within their career with Catalina Snacks, Inc.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The production worker will serve as a general laborer that provides aid in multiple areas of the production plant, such as the fulfillment area, the production pack-out area, and the production lines. Production workers will often be cross trained to serve as back-ups for other roles, such as backup operators and back-up coaters. The ideal candidate for this role will have the ability to work in a demanding environment, where teamwork and diligence play a crucial role in the overall success of the team, having a drive to grow and develop into roles with greater responsibility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Labeling boxes appropriately.
• Assembling and packaging boxes with food pouches.
• Palletizing boxes.
• Wrapping pallets, as needed.
• Other responsibilities, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Able to work at a fast pace.
• Able to lift packages and/or other objects as necessary, weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English is required to perform job-related duties effectively.
• Able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• We prefer previous experience in food production facilities, but it is not necessary.

SCHEDULE

• Monday through Friday, from 6:15 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Management will communicate any overtime hours within 24 hours at minimum, in advance, and as needed.
