Fitter/Welder

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards in a construction or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks.
• Conduct assembly of components according to ASME codes and standards.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials as needed.
• Measure and cut materials using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Participate in rigging operations for heavy components when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding/fitting within construction or manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
• Strong understanding of basic math principles for measurements and calculations.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and soldering techniques.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to welding operations (ASME codes & standards).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
