JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the accurate weighing of inbound and outbound live trailers. Verify customer information on scale tickets and bill of lading. Coordinate with shipping, receiving, and plant personnel on finished product outbound loads. Complete basic housekeeping and necessary documentation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately check in live trailers trucks.
- Accurately submit weights to accounting personnel.
- Attention to detail with supplier and customer information.
- Organize and detail scale tickets for proper loads.
- Populate computer systems with proper customer information and verify customer information.
- Coordinate receiving with plant staff.
- Collect and label retained samples for storage.
- Perform basic housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
- Complete any necessary operating and production documentation.
- Provide cleanliness and housekeeping to ensure equipment is in proper working condition and meets food safety requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of scale weighing operations.
- Knowledge of Company safety practices and OSHA standards.
- Skill in using a variety of computer software, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to operate automated grain probe.
- Ability to understand the basic flow of the facility.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands.
- Ability to perform job functions within quality and production standards
- Ability to be a good representative of the Company.
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to pass all required functions testing.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to tolerate loud noise and extreme temperature conditions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Previous feed mill and/or grain handling experience preferred. Prior customer service experience preferred.
This position requires that you cannot own or have any contact with animals with feathers, other than those owned by Lincoln Premium Poultry, during your employment with LPP.
