Junior Design Associate

This position is a full time, in office position at our Virginia Beach office.

This position manages design and creates the scopes of work and budgets that guide our projects and brings your vision to life We don't do interior design, but we keep interior design in mind. We're looking to plan the house finishes and layout, not furniture. If you cannot handle a fast, detailed pace, while juggling a few balls in the air at the same time, then this isn't for you. This is a full-time position located in our Virginia Beach office. You will travel to job sites in the Hampton Roads Area. If you love to work hard, and do what it takes to get the job done, have no excuses, then you'll love being a part of our kick a$$ construction team.

Responsibilities:

· Accurate Project Planning

· Designing layouts of renovation projects

• Including Kitchen Layouts, Bathroom Layouts

· Coordinating and effectively communicating with the construction team

· Budget planning of materials and work

· Timely execution of all projects and meeting deadlines

· Effective oral and written communication

· In depth knowledge of construction projects a plus

· Running design on several projects at once

· Extremely comfortable and proficient on a computer

Requirements:

· Valid Driver's License.

· Clear driving record, no felony convictions, no misdemeanor convictions involving theft or injury to persons or property.

· Associates Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Management, Design, Interior Design:

OR

· 4 Years of actual experience in design build or interior/exterior renovations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· View computer screen for extended periods

· Sit or stand for long periods of time

· Occasionally bending or stooping to lift up to 10 pounds- 30 pounds

· Ability to climb ladders and other support equipment

· Ability to walk over uneven surfaces in all kinds of weather

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Site visits will also be required outside with possible exposure to extreme elements in various seasons. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
