Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Equipment Manager to oversee the maintenance, inventory, and procurement of equipment across our operations. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. The Equipment Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all equipment functions optimally to support our team's productivity and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess management experience, proficiency in inventory control, and excellent organizational skills to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Duties

  • Oversee the procurement, purchasing, and inventory management of equipment and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effective purchasing strategies.
  • Manage equipment maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, and ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
  • Supervise staff responsible for equipment handling, stocking, and maintenance tasks; provide training and development to team members.
  • Develop and implement policies related to equipment usage, safety protocols, and inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify issues early and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, purchase orders, maintenance logs, and usage reports using appropriate management software.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
  • Assist in budgeting activities related to equipment procurement and maintenance expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements related to equipment handling.
  • Support store or facility management teams in managing shift operations related to equipment use.

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience with a strong background in inventory control, purchasing, or retail management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities with supervisory experience in team management or employee supervision.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, bookkeeping, payroll processing, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math.
  • Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse team interactions.
  • Experience with training & development programs; capable of onboarding new staff efficiently.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, merchandising, marketing, store management, shift management, and sales management principles.
  • Familiarity with wireless sales environments or grocery store operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks accurately while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
