Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our ABA Office. This role involves managing various HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and facilitating effective communication within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of human capital management systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in talent acquisition processes, including sourcing candidates through ATS platforms such as iCIMS, Taleo, or Workday.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data entry and manage employee records using systems like SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, or UltiPro.
  • Administer benefits programs and assist with benefits enrollment and changes.
  • Support performance management initiatives, including employee evaluations and training & development activities.
  • Aid in compliance efforts related to FMLA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and Affirmative Action Planning.
  • Participate in project management tasks related to organizational design, change management, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality while assisting in conflict management efforts.
  • Contribute to HR sourcing strategies and social media management for talent attraction campaigns.
  • Support payroll processing activities through platforms such as Paychex, ADP, or Dayforce.
  • Assist with data collection, reporting, and analysis for HR metrics and workforce management purposes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in human resources management or administrative roles within HR environments.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM, UltiPro, Kronos, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and workers' compensation procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability in project management, organizational design, and strategic planning processes.
  • Experience with HR sourcing tools and applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as iCIMS or Taleo is preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong data entry skills coupled with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. This Human Resources Assistant role is integral to maintaining an efficient HR function that supports organizational growth and compliance while fostering a positive work environment for all team members.

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
