Skid Steer Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Skid Steer Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating skid steer loaders and other heavy equipment to assist with various land clearing projects. Your expertise will help ensure the safe, efficient, and effective removal of brush, trees, and undergrowth. Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer loaders with precision, adhering to safety protocols and project specifications
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting machinery across job sites
• Use mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials using skid steers and other heavy machinery
• Assist with general maintenance and simple repairs of all operating equipment
• Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment and chainsaws
• Follow all safety guidelines and construction site procedures to maintain a secure work environment
• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Be responsible, timely, and professional
• A self-starter and able to perform your duties with little to no supervision

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating skid steer loaders in a construction or similar environment
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving dump trucks, water trucks, or tanker vehicles preferred
• Familiarity with excavator, tractor, or skid steer
• Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
• Additional certifications such as Caterpillar machinery operation or grader operation are advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
