We're seeking a motivated technician to join our dynamic team. This is a unique startup opportunity where growth is certain, and your role will be critical in overseeing emergency services while driving continuous improvement in our restoration processes.
The Water Damage Technician supports mitigation crews by performing water extraction, equipment setup, demolition, monitoring, and job documentation. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and critical to delivering high-quality emergency restoration services.
Technicians are expected to work efficiently, follow protocols, and represent Renew by Grewe Restoration professionally in customers' homes.
Key Responsibilities
Mitigation & Job Execution
- Perform water extraction, demolition, and cleanup
- Set, move, and remove air movers, dehumidifiers, and specialty drying equipment
- Monitor drying progress and document readings
- Load, unload, clean, and maintain equipment and vehicles
Documentation & Quality
- Take required job photos and daily notes
- Follow drying standards and company job checklists
- Communicate job status to Crew Chief or Mitigation Manager
Customer Interaction
- Maintain a professional, respectful presence in homes
- Answer basic customer questions and direct concerns to leadership
- Protect customer property at all times
Safety & Compliance
- Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Report equipment or job issues immediately
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
- Comfortable working in residential and commercial environments
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required)
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT)
- Previous restoration, construction, or labor experience
- Basic understanding of drying equipment and procedures
Work Schedule
- Standard weekday hours
- On-call rotation for after-hours and emergency response
- Overtime available during high-demand periods
