Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Provides administrative support directly to all executives, the department and coworkers on the team, exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
- Competently uses business software applications (e.g. email/scheduling, word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, virtual meeting rooms, and ERP) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.
- Provides basic desktop support assistance on these same applications.
- Arranges business travel, meetings, small events and tracks expenses.
- Models business standards, policies and practices for the entire organization and will participate in the evolution of best practice development for the organization in this functional area.
- This is point of entry into HEO in an administrative support role.
- This position works independently with minimal supervision, guided by published set of standard practices.
- Has working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience.
- Commitment to impeccable work product, i.e., spelling, grammar, fact-checking, editing, etc.
- Typically supports executives up to Vice President.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree
Knowledge Requirements
- High level ability to plan, organize, analyze and coordinate data/information and activities.
- High level ability to function independently, make valid judgments to ensure the integrity of operations and exhibit initiative in the completion of tasks.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and external to the Health System.
- Outgoing personality with high service orientation.
- Able to work in a stressful environment and capable of coping with complex situations.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information with complete discretion and confidentiality.
- Complete tests on computer skills and office grammar and spelling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a high degree of professionalism and personal presence.
- Considerable knowledge and skill in using the personal computer including spreadsheet, word processing, database and presentation software.
