Chin Family Institute of Nursing 

Work Schedule: This is part-time, non-exempt position; hours to be determined as needed.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Chin Family Institute for Nursing (CFIN), the incumbent is responsible for participation in planning committee for the CFIN's symposiums and events. Duties will include planning, organizing, preparing advertising materials for events promotions. Incumbent will also be responsible for using self-service event technology platform such as EventBrite and EventBrite's marketplace to promote, manage live experiences, set up and oordinate registration to the events, such as mange ticketing, registration, marketing, and attendee management from promotion and through the end of event registration and revenue reconciliation.

Requirements: The incumbent must have a degree from an accredited college or university or have experience in performing the essential functions listed above. The incumbent must demonstrate an interest and or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. Fingerprinting may be taken and checked by the California Department of Justice and the FBI. The incumbent may be responsible for the fingerprinting processing fee. A completed UAS employment application is required.

Desired Qualifications: Extensive event management experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders; technical experience and a proven record in event technology management platform, ideally EventBrite experience is preferred, Knowledgeable about event management, event technology platform required. Independent leadership skills, attention to details, ability to organize and work with internal and external stakeholders of the event, experience with financial reconciliation with revenue and costs related to the events. Experience with Cal State LA University Auxiliary Services, Inc. internal processes and procedures preferred.
