Optician Technician

Job Summary
We are looking for a high-performing Optician Technician who thrives in a mid to fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid sales role that blends outstanding patient care with strong business acumen. The ideal candidate is not just experienced in optics—but is a driver who can lead the sales, increase revenue, and elevate the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations of the optical sales department, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Actively drive eyewear sales, setting goals, and tracking performance.
• Guide patients in selecting eyewear that suits their prescriptions, lifestyle, and aesthetics.
• Fit and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses for maximum comfort and vision quality.
• Maintain accurate medical and optical records, with attention to detail.
• Manage frame inventory and product displays to optimize retail performance.
• Handle insurance verification, billing, and coding to support accurate claims processing.
• Stay informed on new lens technologies, frame styles, and industry trends.
• Collaborate closely with the optometrist and front desk to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Pre-test if needed

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership or sales experience in an optical or retail setting.
• Strong sales background with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
• Familiarity with optical software (Eyecloud) and billing systems.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
• Flexible and adaptable—ready to jump in wherever needed.
• ABO Certification is a plus, but not required.
