Are you looking for a career as a Lab Associate -Phlebotomist?   Look no further than BJC  This position is in Phlebotomy. Join our Phlebotomy Laboratory team to be an integral part of delivering precise and reliable laboratory results that impact patient outcomes positively.

  • Hours - 2:00 pm - 10:30pm
  • Schedule - Monday thru Friday NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS
  • Duties: Eevening processor consist of preparing samples that require more attention than usual, assisting in the processing of samples that will aide in future research projects, processing of add-on orders, customer service, waived micro testing.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.
  • Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.
  • Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests.
  • Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
  • Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.

  • Associate's Degree

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
