Quality Engineer

What You'll Do

As a Quality Engineer, you'll support the Quality Manager in driving continuous improvement across all operations — ensuring products and processes meet Dexter's high standards of excellence.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing failures, leading
    corrective and preventive actions
    , and addressing customer complaints.
  • Leading
    root cause analysis
    and problem-solving teams using tools like 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, and process mapping.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting
    product, process, or production
    issues.
  • Supporting
    continuous improvement activities
    (5S, Kaizen, Lean methods, etc.) to enhance overall plant performance.
  • Managing
    part qualification documentation
    , including FAI, Gage R&R, FMEA, capability studies, control plans, and process validation.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and communicating
    quality metrics and performance trends
    .
  • Partnering with suppliers to improve
    supplier quality and compliance
    , including audits and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Developing and maintaining
    inspection requirements
    for incoming materials.
  • Driving
    Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Cost improvement
    projects that contribute to plant-wide excellence.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience
    in quality engineering, quality assurance, or continuous improvement (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Knowledge of ISO or IATF standards
    and familiarity with auditing processes.
  • Strong background in:
  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Six Sigma principles
  • FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP
  • Capability Studies and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree
    in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered.
