Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical expertise, including experience with industrial systems, programmable logic controllers, and high-voltage equipment. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal plant operations. Candidates with a background in hydraulics, sensors, vision inspection systems, and field service are highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing AutoCAD, calibration, schematics, and precision measuring instruments within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain and calibrate sensors, vision inspection systems, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy.
  • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Work with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems safely in compliance with industry standards.
  • Support mechanical maintenance tasks involving hydraulics, CNC machinery, and other automated equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar software for system upgrades or modifications.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment such as sensors, calibration devices, or control panels.
  • Provide field service support for troubleshooting issues on-site at various locations.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and maintains a safe working environment.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance technician in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong background in industrial maintenance with knowledge of hydraulics, sensors, vision inspection systems, and calibration techniques.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems such as Calypso, and distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Experience working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems safely.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to CNC machines, mechanical assemblies, and precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters.
  • Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation and AutoCAD for system design or modifications.
  • Military background or experience is considered a plus due to discipline and technical training.
  • Excellent customer service skills when supporting field service operations or client installations. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of handling complex electrical systems while maintaining safety standards and delivering exceptional maintenance support within a manufacturing setting.
