Essential Functions (other Duties As Assigned)
- Ensure all donated items are researched, accurately priced, ticketed, and safely moved to the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with store leadership on the priority, timing, and placement of incoming donations and merchandise.
- Work directly with donation drivers regarding the safe loading and unloading of donations.
- Guarantee safe and prompt handling of all merchandise and donations in line with established policies and procedures.
- Assist in receiving and processing items dropped off at the receiving dock as needed.
- Supervise backroom operations to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for employees, volunteers, and customers.
- Lead and engage staff and volunteers to ensure teamwork, productivity, and a positive culture.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Habitat's values in every interaction.
- Conduct and document corrective action when necessary.
- Serve as a key-carrying supervisor, independently opening and closing the store and following all cash-handling procedures.
- Accurately complete reports and end-of-day documentation; operate a cash register as needed.
- Ensure all volunteers have a meaningful and safe experience while working in the ReStore.
- Represent Habitat Charlotte Region positively to all donors, customers, and community members.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and adhere to assigned schedules.
- Maintain professional appearance consistent with ReStore guidelines.
- Adhere to Habitat's Code of Conduct and organizational policies.
Qualifications
Education/Skills:
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math or POS experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Management and Customer Service experience
- Show initiative
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to move merchandise throughout the store
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs. without assistance, 70 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays, and periodic holidays
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification and operate a forklift on a regular basis
- Ability to climb steps to Forklift cab

- Requires minimal supervision
- Ability to engage and motivate staff as well as hold team members accountable in conjunction with store management
- Report to the Store Manager
Estimated Time Commitment:
40+ hours/week. Rotating Monday-Sunday work week. Shifts scheduled based on the needs of the store, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
