Administrative Lab Support involves handling essential clerical, organizational, and logistical tasks that keep a laboratory running smoothly, bridging the gap between pure research/testing and daily operations focusing on data entry, supply management, scheduling, and ensuring compliance, freeing up scientists for technical work.

Job Description:

Essential Functions

  • Data & Records: Inputting data, maintaining databases, and updating records.
  • Logistics & Supplies: Ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing lab materials and equipment.
  • Communication: Answering calls, directing inquiries, and coordinating with staff/external agencies.
  • Scheduling: Booking meetings and coordinating staff schedules.
  • General Support: Assisting lab management, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining lab cleanliness/setup.
  • Additional support-level tasks as necessary
  • Adherence to company and customer COVID-19 safety guidelines
  • This position has no direct reports

REQUIRED (Must-Haves):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of administrative, office support, or customer service experience

(lab, facilities, front desk, or corporate office experience is a plus but not required)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

(comfortable answering phones, greeting visitors, and emailing professionally)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365

(Outlook, Teams, Word, basic Excel skills)

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

(able to juggle , guests, calls, and requests without dropping the ball)

  • Professional, customer-service-focused demeanor

(comfortable escorting guests and interacting with employees at all levels)

  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain confidentiality
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Available to work within the core business hours of 7AM to 6PM. Service hours are generally 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
