Electrical Estimator

Overview

My client is seeking a skilled
Senior Estimator
with a minimum of 5
years' experience
in electrical estimating, particularly within
industrial, oil & gas, and municipal
sectors. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in
Accubid Classic
and bring strong analytical and negotiation skills. This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates and supporting successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates using Accubid Classic
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope requirements to develop comprehensive estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure all project elements are considered
• Identify risks and opportunities within estimates and recommend mitigation strategies
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
• Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, pricing trends, and construction methodologies
• Participate in job walk-downs and pre-bid meetings (up to 10% travel)
• Present estimates clearly and concisely to internal stakeholders
• Support post-bid reviews and project handovers to ensure smooth transition to project execution

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in estimating
• Experience within industrial, oil & gas, and municipal sectors preferred
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency with Accubid Classic
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as required
• Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
