Responsibilities

  • Develop complex requirements, enhance, modify, and maintain applications in the Financial Crimes technology domain to achieve business goals.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs while ensuring smooth maintenance of the applications.
  • Work closely with business partners to define and refine system application requirements.
  • Contribute to story refinement, define requirements, and estimate the work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Perform proof of concept (PoC) as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Set up and automate the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Work with Production Support teams, Platform teams, and Business Partners to handle technical aspects of applications, including change management, platform upgrades, and changes to requirements from upstream and downstream interfacing systems.
  • Demonstrate data sourcing, data analysis, and modeling skills to support large-scale financial crimes data sourcing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts and Developers related to Data to ensure best practices and governance are followed.
  • Apply and promote best practices and standards at the project and program level.
  • Partner with the business to develop plans and success measures to sustain changes.
  • Analyze current states, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation.
  • Ensure Agile practices are followed throughout the development process and meet all Enterprise Change Standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate, MVC, Tomcat, Weblogic, UNIX Shell scripting, Oracle 11g, and Data analysis.
  • Experience with AngularJS, Web services, Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Autosys (or any scheduling tool).
  • Expertise in providing solutions for web-based applications involving large user bases and complex data.
  • Strong experience in the design, development, and support of web-based applications with J2EE architecture and Single Page Application frameworks.
  • Expert in developing multi-tier applications using J2EE frameworks (MVC, Spring, Hibernate).
  • Knowledge and experience with UI frameworks like AngularJS.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, Stored Procedures, Composite data virtualization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience working with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and JUnit.
  • Proven ability to engage business stakeholders, facilitate business engagement, and conduct requirement discovery.
  • Ability to work effectively with remote locations, including onsite and offshore teams.
  • Familiarity with implementing best practices and optimizing changes in upgraded versions.
  • Solid experience with SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix and a good understanding of shell scripts.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Oracle 11g and familiarity with Weblogic or Tomcat environments.
  • Ability to implement innovative solutions for large-scale enterprise systems.
