Drywall Finisher

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Hanger to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing drywall panels efficiently and accurately on various types of construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, blueprint reading, and site safety protocols. The Drywall Hanger will work closely with other trades to ensure quality workmanship and timely project completion, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects.

Duties

• Measure, cut, and hang drywall panels according to project specifications and schematics
• Tape, mud, and sand joints to achieve a seamless surface ready for painting or finishing
• Secure drywall using appropriate fasteners, ensuring proper alignment and finish
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and leveling walls before installation
• Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to coordinate work flow
• Assist in the installation of insulation, framing, and other related components as needed
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety standards on site
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine layout and material requirements
• Perform minor repairs or adjustments as necessary during installation

Requirements

• Proven experience in drywall installation within the construction or restoration industry
• Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation
• Familiarity with related skills such as plastering, carpentry, metal stud framing, door hanging, tile laying, and flooring installation is preferred
• Experience with water damage restoration, mold remediation, or renovation projects is a plus
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods
• Valid Drivers License and your own vehicle required
