Maintenance Handyman

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Handyman Maintenance Person to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise in general maintenance tasks will help create safe, functional, and welcoming environments for residents and staff alike. Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across various building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural components
• Conduct residential painting projects to maintain property aesthetics and integrity
• Troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance history, and inventory levels
• Assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or resident concerns promptly and professionally
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and future planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field with a strong mechanical background
• Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical systems
• Hands-on experience with basicrepairs and residential painting is highly desirable
• Electrical experience including the use of tools such as ohmmeters for testing circuits(excellent but not required)
• Strong communication skills in English for effective team collaboration and customer interaction
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely

Pay: $ $28.08 per hour
