Job Title: Medical Assistant for Anna Ferguson Office

Department: Family Medicine, Myrtle Point Clinic

Reports To: Department Manager

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (Hours may vary according to patient scheduling)

35-40 Hours Full time/Benefits Provided

Full Job Description:

Position Summary:

Responsible for front or back-office duties which may include answering phone, scheduling patients, referrals, billing, triaging patients, rooming patients, assist provider with exams, process prescription refills, patient follow-up and processing of appropriate patient paperwork.

Principle Job Duties:

  • Schedule appointments by phone or in person.
  • Handle patient notifications.
  • Process patient referrals, lab requests, etc.
  • Process prescription refills.
  • Prepare exam rooms.
  • Room patients, take vitals and complete patient intake forms.
  • Administer injections.
  • Assist provider with exams.
  • Proper processing of patient paperwork.
  • Provide support to team members in providing excellent patient care.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred, certified or non-certified.
  • We will offer on the job training and certification.
  • CPR certified or willing to become CPR certified in first 90 days.
  • Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 or willing to get vaccinated
