Cable Technician II

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of cable systems, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires a strong understanding of cable technology and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, including fiber optic and coaxial cables
• Use hand tools, such as screwdrivers and pliers, to perform tasks
• Utilize specialized equipment, including voltmeters and ohmmeters, to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
• Utilize computer networking knowledge to configure and troubleshoot network connections
• Collaborate with other technicians and team members to resolve complex issues
• Work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude
• Communicate with customers via telephone and telecommunicate effectively
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment
• Keep accurate records of all work performed, including service calls and maintenance tasks
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with Cisco routers and Ethernet connections

Skills

• Strong understanding of cable technology and its applications
• Proficiency with hand tools and specialized equipment
• Experience with computer networking and configuration
• Knowledge of Cisco routers and Ethernet connections
• Experience in a field service environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers via telephone and telecommunicate
• Physical stamina to work in a physically demanding environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
• Experience with service technician roles and a willingness to learn and grow within the field.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $2,500.00 per week
