Are you an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist looking for a unique schedule and great pay? We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team on a weekend shift - work just 36 hours (Friday - Sunday) and get paid for a full 40-hour week

Summary

This is a critical role in maintaining production quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment to produce precision parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time.

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines independently
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings
  • Modify programs using Mazatrol and or Gibbs CAM to meet tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for materials
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and other team members to improve processes

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC Lathe in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 2 years of experience with Mazatrol programming or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Gibbs CAM and ability to modify G-code programs
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T and machining principles
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls, GD&T, and Mastercam is a plus
  • Familiarity with Mazak or Doosan lathes preferred

Pay: $ $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
