About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Level Front End Developer to join Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A). In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and supporting a robust ecosystem of big data applications within a collaborative environment. Your primary responsibilities will include interacting with customers, project managers, and development teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring the delivery of effective software solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, real-time systems, and business management information systems, based on documented requirements. Your expertise will help in providing technical input on system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis from system level to individual components.

You will utilize appropriate software engineering and design methodologies to develop web-based applications and content solutions that meet customer needs. Following formal design processes, you will create specifications, data flow diagrams, and adhere to industry standards and guidelines for software development and delivery. Additionally, you will develop and maintain technical documentation to facilitate ongoing maintenance and upgrades, manage software processes, and troubleshoot complex software issues using the latest technologies. Your role will be vital in ensuring the seamless integration and operation of enterprise-level systems, contributing to Boeing's mission of delivering innovative intelligence and analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 13 years of experience in Software or Systems Engineering roles or a highly related field with similar scope and responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; alternatively, 4 years of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree, and 6 years for a Master's degree.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
• Proficiency in building scalable, component-based front-end applications using React.
• Experience developing typed React applications with Typescript for improved maintainability and scalability.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL/document-based databases like Elasticsearch and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Git workflows, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design methodologies.

Desired qualifications include current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph, experience implementing responsive styling with Tailwind CSS, writing end-to-end tests with Cypress, working within Scrum teams, and an interest or experience in agentic AI systems and autonomous workflows.
