We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Neurosurgery Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our dynamic medical team in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient patient flow and support for neurosurgeons, patients, families, and medical staff in a fast-paced neurosurgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments, surgeries, and follow-ups.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other communications promptly and courteously.
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with pre-authorizations and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health systems (EHR/EMR).
  • Coordinate with neurosurgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure timely patient care.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with billing inquiries and collect co-pays or outstanding balances.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including medical records and test results.
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and inventory management.

Clinical Duties:

  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist neurosurgeons during minor procedures and examinations.
  • Coordinate referrals, pre-authorizations, and insurance verifications.
  • Document patient interactions and update electronic health records (EHR).
  • Communicate with patients regarding test results, instructions, and care plans.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and sanitized

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
