Dishwasher/Food Prep

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our dynamic culinary environment. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen while supporting food preparation and service operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, food handling, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Experience in restaurant, catering, hotel, or culinary settings is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service and kitchen operations within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Help with basic food presentation and plating as needed for banquets or catering events
• Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas regularly
• Assist kitchen staff with inventory management and organization of supplies
• Follow all safety and food handling protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support various kitchen functions
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
• Basic culinary skills or kitchen experience are advantageous but not required
• A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service in a hospitality setting
