We are currently hiring an optometry technician for our In-School and mobile services in the Denver metro and surrounding areas.

We are looking for an outgoing team member who is passionate about their community and can work well with children. We are looking for a candidate with experience as an optometry technician or receptionist experience in an optometry or medical office.

**Candidates must be bilingual Spanish speaking**

Intake Specialist/Technician position:

Eye Love Care provides full eye exams and glasses for students at various Schools as well as various facilities in a mobile optometry capacity within the Denver region as well as nearby communities. This coming school year we are hiring for multiple teams that will be working in schools from North Denver to South Aurora and each team will have a specific region.

Position work occurs primarily during the school year, but there will be time off during school breaks; however, our teams make calls during summer break to patients who received glasses.

Responsibilities:

• · Performing as an Optometry technician after training.
• · Scheduling student patients for an eye exam at each school from intakes.
• · Entering patient demographics and medical history into the electronic medical record.
• · Learning eyewear and fitting frames to patients.
• · Eyeglass ordering from eyeglass laboratory.
• · Working with Optomap imaging.
• · Communicating efficiently and professionally with school nurses/administrators.
• · Working closely with doctors, team manager, and team members.
• · Traveling to different schools and facilities within the Denver or Aurora area, as scheduled, will be required as each school or facility event only lasts two to three days.
• Team location is northwest Denver metro and surrounding area, i.e Jefferson County, Westminster, Arvada, etc._ Candidate should live close to that area._
• · Packing and unpacking equipment for each multi-day event.
• Position hours are Monday - Friday and are typically 8 am - 3 pm but may vary by school bell schedules and could start as early as 7 am some days.
• Candidate must be flexible about not working or working reduced hours when school is out for holidays/breaks.
• · Flexibility and adaptability are needed for this position due to the mobile nature of each event.

Qualifications:

• · Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical or optometry office setting
• · Candidates must be willing and able to work with children
• · Candidates must be able to pass a background check
• · Candidates for this position must be highly organized team players.
