About RLD Sustain

RLD Sustain Holdings Corporation is building a new, vertically integrated American engineering and development enterprise focused on designing, manufacturing, and operating advanced building systems, energy systems, transportation systems, and precision-manufactured components across the United States.

We are launching a new internal subsidiary — RLD Sustain Engineering and Automation Company — which will become the central engineering, design, research, and automation organization supporting all future RLD operations.

This new subsidiary will oversee large, national-scale engineering initiatives involving structural systems, advanced materials, industrial automation, energy systems, transportation technologies, and multi-disciplinary integration.

We are now recruiting the Founding President & Chief Systems Engineer, who will architect, build, and lead this engineering organization from the ground up.

Position Overview

The Founding President & Chief Systems Engineer will serve as the top engineering executive for the new RLD Sustain Engineering and Automation Company.

This leader will be responsible for:

  • Designing and establishing the engineering organization
  • Architecting complex, multi-domain technical systems
  • Leading engineering teams working across several disciplines
  • Developing the design, automation, and execution frameworks
  • Building long-term engineering capabilities across the enterprise

This is a role suitable only for deeply experienced systems engineers with a significant record of leadership in multi-disciplinary engineering environments such as aerospace, automotive, industrial manufacturing, robotics, transportation, large-scale energy systems, or defense systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the new RLD Sustain Engineering and Automation Company.
  • Architect large-scale technical systems spanning structural, mechanical, electrical, energy, automation, and digital domains.
  • Build high-performance engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop technical standards, documentation systems, and engineering governance.
  • Lead multiple concurrent engineering programs from initial design through implementation.
  • Collaborate directly with executive leadership across all RLD businesses.
  • Build long-term engineering capabilities to support national-level expansion.

Required Experience

Candidates must possess senior-level experience in at least two of the following areas:

  • Aerospace systems engineering
  • Automotive platform engineering
  • Industrial automation or advanced robotics
  • Structural, mechanical, or energy systems engineering
  • Complex system-of-systems integration
  • Defense systems, mission-critical engineering, or similar fields
  • Leadership of large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams

Additional requirements include:

  • Fifteen or more years of progressive engineering leadership experience
  • Proven ability to architect and deliver large-scale engineered systems
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational leadership capability

Compensation

RLD Sustain offers a compensation structure designed to attract the most qualified engineering leaders in the United States.

  • $7,000,000 — payable at Liquidity Event 2
  • $7,000,000 — payable at Liquidity Event 3

The Success Fee compensates the consultant for the delivery of early-stage engineering leadership, organizational design, and foundational architecture prior to transition into full-time executive employment.

Full-Time W-2 Executive Compensation (Post-Conversion)

Upon transition from Consultant-to-Hire to full-time W-2 status, the compensation package will include:

  • Base Salary: $600,000 annually

This compensation structure reflects the scale, responsibility, and national importance of this leadership role.
