We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to function as a health care provider in an outpatient setting. Organize and present historical and physical data, together with evaluations and recommendations, to the healthcare team providing evidence-based care, including but not limited to diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative health care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Obtain complete medical history from patients and perform comprehensive and focused physical examinations appropriate for patient population.
· Synthesize data and utilize evidence to develop, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results.
· Organize and present historical and physical data, together with evaluations and recommendations, to the healthcare team to clearly identify a medical problem and determine appropriate diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
· Participate in medical team rounds and in quality monitoring through the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes.
· Educate patients and answer questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards.
Required Licensure/Certification:
Current and unrestricted Florida licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in State of practice (APRN).
Board Certification (ANCC, AANP or specialty board)
Basic Life Support (BLSA) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross for Advanced Practice Providers.
Within 30 days of employment, the following requirements must be met:
PECOS (Medicare Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System) enrollment
Signed Collaborative agreement
Florida Medicaid enrollment (via the Florida Medicaid Secure Web Portal)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – generally expected, especially in acute/chronic care
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $110,000.00 per year
