Receiving Inspector

Job Summary

Custom Electronics, Inc., top manufacturer of high-voltage mica-paper capacitors, electronic assemblies and modules, and multi layer bus-bars for the aerospace, geophysical and defense industries located in Oneonta, NY, is currently seeking a Stockroom Clerk for our first shift (8:00 am-4:30 pm Mon-Fri.)

Responsibilities and Duties for Receiving Inspector as follows:

• Examine and inspect incoming materials for defects and wear and to ensure conformance with diagrams, blueprints, and customer/CEI requirements.
• Perform related functions that contribute to the effective operation of the Quality Assurance Department. Examples include verification of material properties (chemicals and epoxies), MICA acceptance, material review board, and supplier interactions.
• Assist QA Manager with reports and investigations.
• Observe and practice appropriate environmental, safety and health policies and practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the QA Manager.
• Maintain work area to be clean and orderly.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software.
• Strong attention to detail.

Specific duties for the Stockroom Clerk are as follows:

• Count the number and the condition of cartons and verify count against bills of lading
• receive in and weigh MICA
• Receive material against purchase orders
• Stock material from receiving inspection
• Maintain and report a weekly compound inventory and compare that to allocations for purchasing
• Assist with maintenance of proper stock levels for all items considered plan supplies
• Maintain and assist in analyzing and evaluating inventories, files and stock to ensure accuracy
• Unload all incoming trucks or vehicles
• Observe and practice appropriate environmental safety and health policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Candidate must have basic math and computer skills.
• Candidate must have at least one year of prior experience working with inventory and receiving.
