Commercial Drywall Estimator

Brooklyn, NY - In-Office

$100,000–$140,000 base salary + 10% discretionary performance bonus

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established commercial drywall contractor experiencing steady growth and looking to add an Estimator to their collaborative estimating team. This is a growth-driven role within a close-knit, high-performing group where accuracy, accountability, and teamwork matter just as much as technical skill.

The estimating department works side-by-side in an open office environment, with leadership actively involved in bid reviews and decision-making. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced but supportive setting where everyone pitches in when deadlines get tight, this is a strong opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare detailed drywall framing estimates for commercial projects
• Complete wallboard and plasterboard takeoffs
• Estimate drywall equipment, materials, and supplies
• Perform custom millwork estimating as needed
• Use PlanSwift and OnScreen Takeoff for quantity takeoffs
• Write and assemble clear, accurate bid proposals
• Review bids daily with operations and leadership prior to submission
• Participate in client scope review meetings via Zoom
• Support occasional bid follow-ups (majority handled by leadership)

Bid volume varies, some weeks may involve quick-turn bids within hours, while others allow multiple days for completion. When timelines are tight, the team collaborates closely to ensure success.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in commercial drywall
• Hands-on experience with drywall takeoffs (training is not available)
• Proficiency with PlanSwift and/or OnScreen Takeoff
• Strong proposal writing and estimating accuracy
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced bid environment
