Electrical Technician

Job Summary

Electric Hydrogen is looking for an experienced exectrical technician to work on fluid systems. An ideal candidate will have previous experience with high purity systems (pharma, semiconductor, food and beverage, marine, or oil and gas). Manufacturing or plant equipment maintenance experience will be considered.

Desired Experience

• Demonstrated experience with instrumentation wiring and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Proficiency in 4–20 mA analog instrumentation and HART communication protocols.
• Familiarity with motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and 480V/208V/120V power distribution systems.
• Experience with electrical heat trace circuits and Heat trace circuit testing and verification.
• Demonstrated capability to perform electrical testing and verification per commissioning standards.
• Execute full-stroke functional testing of control valves using pneumatic hand or battery-powered portable pumps, document valve stroke and actuator feedback.
• Electrical insulation, continuity, and functional testing.
• Conduct RS485/Modbus communication verification, confirm network integrity, node addressing, and bus termination.
• Perform CAT6e and patch cable testing using calibrated cable testers to verify continuity, pinout, and performance certification.
• Ability to safely perform work at elevated locations
• Experienced with electrical safety best practices (LOTO, NFPA70E)
