JOB SUMMARY:
Operates breast imaging equipment to produce clinical diagnostic breast images as directed by physicians and performs routine breast imaging procedures according to established standards and practices. Responsible for the performance of all breast imaging procedures, and the related patient education. Follows all ACR/FDA guidelines conforming to MQSA mandates to ensure the safety, accuracy, and reliability of all breast imaging studies performed. Likewise responsible for patient imaging examinations in bone density, general radiology, and CT.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
ARRT Registered and Graduate of Approved School of Radiology Required
Mammography ARRT certification within 2 years of employment as a mammography technologist Required
Completed Course or Program in / as Radiologic Technology Program Required
1 Year Imaging Technologist Experience Required
High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred
1 Year Mammography Experience Preferred
