Unit Coordinator Compensation: Starting at $24.00 per hour DOE
The Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County is now hiring Unit Coordinators to join our team. We seek to ensure that all youth, especially those who need us most, have a positive and enriching experience, putting them on the path to success. Primary Function: Directs overall daily operations of the Boys & Girls Clubs unit programs with the primary concern for delivery of programs and services, supervision and ongoing training and mentoring of staff, management of facility and general stewardship of the program and organization with member families, school administration and the surrounding community.
Plans, develops, evaluates and oversees the implementation of programs including character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts and, sports, fitness and recreation.
Qualifications:
· Available Monday to Friday for our Before & After School Programs
· Available Monday through Friday for our out-of-school programs (Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring Breaks) to meet the
needs of our business
· This is an in-person; year-round position
· Available to attend our mandatory trainings
· Reliable Transportation with insurance required; ability to get to all our Club sites
· Experience planning and supervising activities based on developmental needs of young people required
· Demonstrated time management skills required
· Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and recruitment and retention of personnel required
· Productive communication skills required
· Ability to write business reports required
· Ability to train, mentor, supervise and motivate staff, volunteers and youth members required
· Ability to support youth members through disciplinary issues and concerns required
· Understanding of social media platforms, email communication format and Microsoft office computer skills required
· Working knowledge of budget preparation, control and management required
· Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth required
· Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe and fun environment required
· Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems required
· Can furnish proof that you are over 18 years of age
· Mandatory in-person CPR and First Aid certifications
· Current TB Test
· Complete the NCLB Test or Proof of 60 College Units
· Ability to pass a rigorous background check
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
