Caregiver

Love 2 Care is seeking qualified and compassionate Caregivers to provide structured, trauma-informed care to youth ages newborn through 17 years old in our foster care group home. Our mission is to provide a safe, stable, and family-oriented environment for children in care while supporting their emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.

Love 2 Care operates as a large family-style foster home with 24-hour staff coverage. This role requires individuals who are confident, emotionally regulated, and experienced in supporting youth with mental health and behavioral challenges.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (Applicants Without These Will Not Be Considered)

• Documented, hands-on experience working with individuals with mental health needs
• Experience supporting youth with behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, or trauma-related behaviors
• Ability to implement trauma-informed and behavior-support strategies consistently
• Strong communication skills and emotional maturity

Responsibilities

• Assist youth with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support
• Provide mental health–informed supervision, redirection, and emotional support
• Supervise and engage youth during community outings, day trips, events, and vacations
• Administer medications in accordance with training and agency policies
• Observe, document, and report behavioral or emotional changes accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and structured living environment
• Serve as a positive role model and support youth social and emotional development

Preferred Experience

• Foster care, group home, residential treatment, behavioral health, or social services experience
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or special need Required Clearances & Training
• Child Abuse Clearance
• Criminal History Background Check
• FBI Fingerprinting (if applicable)
• Mandated Reporter Training
• Safety Care Training
• Medication Administration Training
• De-escalation training

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
