Occupational Therapist (OT) - Acute Hospital

Location: Salina, KS

Pay: $ $45.00 hourly

Shift: Days 8 hours Full Time Day shift

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the Acute Hospital team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:

• Evaluate patients to assess occupational therapy needs and functional abilities
• Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to professional occupational therapy practice
• Maintain current Kansas Occupational Therapist license or obtain licensure if eligible
• Obtain CPR certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support or Basic Life Support) within 90 days of employment
• Provide occupational therapy services in acute care hospital setting
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Participate in on-call duties as assigned
• Work weekends as scheduled and discussed during interview process
• Adhere to professional standards and facility policies for occupational therapy practice

Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing (state-specific)
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Acute Hospital experience preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
