Business Development Associate – Senior Housing

The Business Development Associate is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue growth at our assisted living and memory care in our communities. This role involves mentoring community teams, developing strategic sales initiatives, and building strong relationships with referral partners. The ideal candidate is a dynamic sales leader with a passion for serving seniors and a proven track record of success in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve maximum occupancy and revenue levels by keeping and building at or above budgeted monthly occupancy.
  • Handle and coordinate all aspects of the sale process from inquiry calls, cold calling, conducting tours, follow-up calls and communication, lead management software updates, and closing the sale. Ensure community staff identified as back-up for inquiries/tours is up-to-date and inquiry process to ensure inquiries are handled properly at all times.
  • Assist with Admission Paperwork

Referral Development:

  • Strengthen relationships with key referral sources, including healthcare providers, social workers, and local organizations
  • Partner with the corporate team to develop and execute sales campaigns
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and community outreach programs

Performance Management & Reporting:

  • Monitor occupancy trends, conversion rates, and other key sales metrics
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership
  • Identify challenges and implement corrective action plans as needed

Qualifications:

  • More than three years of experience in senior living sales
  • Effective communicator
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • Capable of traveling to various locations
  • Solution-oriented
  • Strong computer skills
